There is a use of the word as an adjective in M. R. James' "Canon Alberic's Scrapbook" end of first paragraph. It twins the concept 'termagant wife' with the previously mentioned possibility of a 'henpecked husband'. --95.90.192.173 22:36, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
