Talján is the historic word to descibe an italian person in the hungarian language (taljánok = italian people). (The modern word is "olasz" but some ancient villages founded by italian/venetian immigrant stone-cutters during the reign of first hungarian king St. Stephan still retain the phrase in their names, e.g Taljándörögd hamlet is where the hungarian national sat-comms base is located. In the context of soccer/calcio game or Formula-1 "talján" is sometimes even heard on TV sports commentary, as it has minimal or zero slur aspect, perceived more of as funny or expressive of the generally relaxed italian outlook on life.) 195.184.22.129 19:17, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
