Standard Chinese in Taiwan
[edit]@Equinox Thanks for creating this entry. This is an important entry, but right now it is written with a propagandistic tone not accorded to the other six official languages of the United Nations and in a way that papers over the suffering of the people in southern China whose language is destroyed in this "emerging". Is 'Standard Chinese' a term that is used to officially (or unofficially) describe the Mandarin Chinese of Taiwan? If not, that fact should be made clear. Why? Because calling something 'standard' is othering the alternatives as 'non-standard', and Taiwan is probably using other names for this language, Standard Mandarin. Thanks. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 01:17, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
- @Geographyinitiative: It's a wiki. You can edit it. I know very little about China. Equinox ◑ 11:44, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
- (BTW, I based this on Wikipedia's article. WP is good at some things, anything but race and gender. Suzukaze has fixed it now... I think.) Equinox ◑ 11:54, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
