"A category of minigames in Minecraft." Does not belong in the dictionary. —Suzukaze-c◇◇ 03:19, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
- Delete the proper noun sense (which was before incorrectly labelled as a noun) for sure, as it is solely in reference to one video game and is only used in reference to that universe. Abstain for the verb sense, assuming that "to Spleef" is even attested at all. We have for example YouTube, Wikipedia, and Facebook as verbs. And I just added the verb sense to the Minecraft entry itself. PseudoSkull (talk) 07:32, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
- Delete. Maybe some day it will become a generic name for a type of game, like capture the flag. Today it ain't. Equinox ◑ 19:41, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
- Delete per Equinox. --Uisleach (talk) 17:17, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

- Delete the proper noun. ALL of the cites given reference Minecraft. And people (from a brief glance of the Internet) are only using the proper noun (which I had never heard of before coming to RfD) this way. Khemehekis (talk) 06:22, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
- The nomination is not in terms of CFI. It seems the applicable regulation would be WT:FICTION; the Minecraft universe is fictional. --Dan Polansky (talk) 12:15, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Rfv-sense of the Minecraft verb. The noun for the game was already deleted at RFD. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 06:04, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- I have added two cites to the citations page, but could not find any more durably archived sources (there are plenty of versions of this verb on blogs and on promotional material). The deletion of the name of the game is not a clear reason to delete the verb. Kiwima (talk) 21:25, 1 November 2020 (UTC)
- If the verb form is to stay then the noun form of "A game in which players must destroy the ground under other players to remove them from the game." must be on the page; they can't exist separately, otherwise I have to explain the noun on the verb. – Nixinova [T|C] 05:07, 13 November 2020 (UTC)
- Explaining the noun at the verb is fine. Don't add a noun just to help you edit! Equinox ◑ 00:54, 14 November 2020 (UTC)
- But the verb is literally mentioning a noun form of the word: "To play a game of Spleef". I dont think the RFV was for the definition of what I mentioned in my previous comment, right? So the noun should be added because the verb mentions that there is a noun form of "Spleef". – Nixinova [T|C] 23:08, 14 November 2020 (UTC)

@Kiwima I added another cite (now three); however, “spleefing” is used as a noun and one cite capitalizes “spleef”. J3133 (talk) 07:00, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

Is this anything more than a nonce nickname for a stoner? This, that and the other (talk) 06:14, 3 August 2021 (UTC)
