Haugesund dialect

[edit]

Seems like they from Haugesund (in Norway) pronounce it like "Segmun" (with very clear /e/ and /u/ sound). Heard it many times from the Haugesund people, especially older ones. At least one of them is a native Haugesundar from the city center, with parents from the same street. Pretty sure this pronunciation is not used in other cities of the west, but may be common in some villages. Am not a Haugesund dialect expert, so this must be confirmed.
