For the regional words for "to ooze, seep" which may have influenced it, cf. also Alsatian sifze with the same sense. Can only be relevant here if it also exists on the German side in Baden. There may be other such words in other regions. 88.65.40.9 20:47, 4 September 2023 (UTC)
