Сфиштофка

[edit]

@Bogdan: Hi! I'm not sure that such a word exists in the Russian language at all. Gnosandes (talk) 21:29, 9 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Apparently, Сфиштофка is the local dialectal equivalent (of the Lipovan Russians) of a standard Russian Свистовка (Svistovka) (there a village in Russia having this name). Bogdan (talk) 21:34, 9 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Bogdan: This is interesting. Although the transition from свʲ- to сф(ʲ)- is strange. Thank you so much. Gnosandes (talk) 21:48, 9 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Bogdan: If these people settled in the 17th and 18th centuries, maybe their dialect should not be considered a Russian dialect? Gnosandes (talk) 02:37, 10 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
