The Quartodeciman group of Asian Apostolics did not observe Easter. They observed the Lord's Supper on the same evening the Jews observed their Passover. Passover and Easter are not the same and they are not the same day. Easter is the name given to the Resurrection by Rome. The Resurrection followed the Passover of Jesus by three days. There is disagreement if Jesus was crucified on the 15th and Passover day, or the day before. This brings into question if he observed the Passover a day earlier on the evening of the 13th in order to do this. The consensus is that Jesus did observe the legal Passover on the right night and was crucified on the 15th of Nisan. The 14th of Nisan was the day of preparation for the Passover that evening. Once again, the Quartodeciman issue is with the time of observing the Lord's Supper on the Jewish Passover and not on Easter Sunday morning when the Resurrection was observed.Acts0412 04:15, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

"Quartodeci" is Latin for 14, 14th of Nisan. 68.123.64.124 19:03, 22 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
