In Brněnský Hantec it's exclusively 'prigl' [Zdar jak svina z betelnýho štatu TV Show at 0:26], the prígl is mostly used by praguers and seemingly people living in north suburbs of Brno.

@Kreyren: These are not good enough: they have to be from permanently recorded media, which includes Google Books and Usenet, but not hantec.cz and invidious.tiekoetter.com. It follows from WT:ATTEST. Compare google books:"prýglu", which finds attesting quotations for prýgl. --Dan Polansky (talk) 07:07, 4 November 2022 (UTC)

@Dan_Polansky: Yes, there are always going to be genius praguers who think they know better and butcher my native language by saying things like:

it's from the German word Prügel meaning "Stick" so it must mean that this pool of water is "bend stick" in some way

and they will be happy to write books and websites about it like the one you found without putting a second into researching if that's actually the case..

Hantac is too dynamic as a language so applying rules like WT:ATTEST clearly designed for languages with set syntax and rules is malpractice linquistics so for Hantec you use logic and find the historical origin to define the word in this case considering that Hantec originated in the late 90s among lower classes of Brno by mixing Moravian language with language of other residents in Brno[2] you can make the logical deduction that "bend stick" when referring to a pool of water makes no sense as it will only confuse the german/dutch population when you talk hantec with them.. you will use the german and dutch word "der Priel" meaning "watercourse in the mudflats, in the march or in coastal flooding bogs" to justify "prigl".

Furthermore the word "prygl" has meaning in hantec (with origin "Prügel" meaning baton) is used for "getting beat up" thus knowing the history and the pronounciation (in case of prygl you use aggressive pronounciation on the "Y") is critical.
