Saying

My grandmother had a saying when she would be looking for, say, her glasses and ultimately find them in a place where she should've looked right away (I think a fairly common occurrence even for young people, the more so for the elderly). Anyway, in such a case she would say: "Peter Pupp socht 't Piärd un satt drup" (Peter Pupp went looking for his horse and he was sitting on it). I'm sure my grandmother didn't make it up herself and it's a known Westphalian saying. However, it's nowhere on the internet, so I'm just leaving it here for reference.
