Basis for this Entry

The name Pe Heen is apparently seen most prominently in a mention in Encyclopedia Britannica ("The best is grown in the district of Pe Heen ; the next quality is said to come from Kin-lang Heen, and the thrid quality from She-fang Heen, all these district being in the plain of Ching-too Foo." page 639). On the Pidu District page, the source "Encyclopædia Britannica, 9th ed. (1878), Vol. V, "China"." is used. I wouldn't call this word's origin idiosyncratic since it may have pejorative overtones. It's probably a local language thing- there's nothing idiosyncratic about using your own language when spelling the name of a place you live. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 18:58, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
