Talk:Nixie tube
Add topicChanged en-noun template to display upper case for Nixie by mapping to nixie. "nixie" is defined. "Nixie" was not defined.
I'm not sure about this. Perhaps "Nixie tube" should be one word, rather than considering "nixie" as an adjective of "tube"? Accepted usage is "Nixie tube", rather than "nixie tube", I believe. I need to double check to confirm. It doesn't really make sense though, to capitalize, unless there was a person, place or thing reference, e.g. Mr. Nixie. Is the "oracle at Delphi" referred to as the "Oracle at Delphi"?
More relevant concern: The plural is listed in Wikitionary as Nixie tubes, not nixie tubes. Either this entry should be changed, or the plural should be changed to be consistent with this, the singular form. --FeralOink (talk) 22:10, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
- Normal usage is two words, with Nixie having a capital letter. It has nothing to do with the word (deprecated template usage) nixie. SemperBlotto (talk) 07:24, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
