Vulgar
[edit]This seems like an unnecessarily vulgar entry. Also is some usage on twitter enough to add a word to wiktionary? This comes off as something from urban dictionary. I think we should remove the unnecessary anecdotal quote and also review this to see if it meets the criteria for inclusion TwoCard (talk) 17:28, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- I find it weird that such a tweet is cited as the etymology of a phrase, as I'd heard of the concept before that point. Off the top of my head, I can only think of a skit that treats the phrase as a well-known concept, albeit in a very over-the-top way. Cardstacky (talk) 09:21, 22 February 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think the skit counts since they use it literally. The first time I heard it was in a Tom Scott video from 2019. "This is the analogy to the Nazi bar, the local pub. Might be the greatest place in town, but if they let the Nazis meet in the basement - you're not gonna want to go in there. Or at least you're not gonna tell your friends you go in there." 37.214.214.72 18:51, 12 October 2024 (UTC)
