There is such a thing as being bold. You wouldn't have been made an admin if people didn't trust your judgment. If you're 95% sure something's a mistake, go ahead and correct it or remove it. In the unlikely event you're wrong, it's easy enough to revert your edit—it's a wiki, and the page history is right there. —Angr 21:47, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

There's a difference between disputed gray areas like SOP or phrasal verbs and the claim that a definition starting with "a breed of dog" is for an adjective. We would be up to our eyeballs in idiotic and/or insane garbage and these pages would be unmanageably huge if everyone followed your practice. It's not tidy, and you have to be prepared to apologize and revert yourself at times, but there are just too many edits that need patrolling for us to wait for rfd/rfv on stuff like this.
