Points to consider and research
[edit]Since I'm still not as proficient as I'd like to be with certain aspects of WT and I need to think through some questions as I can, I'm leaving this memo here for myself or other interested editors to review and possibly work its ideas into this and other entries later. This is not urgent enough to take to the Tea Room. ... Or, actually, I want to try to come back and do this myself. Heh. But don't wait on me if you're already here.
This Late Antiquity entry lists the following alternative forms:
- late antiquity, late Antiquity
- (misspelling): Late antiquity
- Why is "Late antiquity" a misspelling but the other two are not?
- Is the following statement correct? "Antiquity" is a proper noun for a period of time within Mediterranean cultural history, while "Late Antiquity" is a proper noun phrase for the last part of that "Antiquity."
- Do the all-lower-case...uh...lemmas "antiquity" and "late antiquity" have perfectly identical meanings with their initial-caps versions? Or does one or both lower-case versions have a broader meaning? If the latter, is there a template or that applies to this situation?
- Double-check if two words be a single lemma.
- Differentiate between an entry title, a lemma...
- Find out if there is a WT:Glossary for editors and/or readers.
- "Late Antique" and "late antique" are used as the adjectival phrase for "Late Antiquity" in many search results on DuckDuckGo.com. What info do we need to create entries for these adjectival phrases?
More later. Thanks! --Geekdiva (talk) 19:49, 21 November 2016 (UTC)
- 1. Especially as there is antiquity (historical period preceding the Middle Ages). Maybe it's only "now a misspelling" or "now proscribed"?
- 4. Existence as for WT:CFI (3 durably archived usages etc.), also not being Sum of Parts as for WT:RFD but that should be the case if there is Late Antiquity and a spelling with caps like Late Antique. -08:53, 2 April 2018 (UTC)
