Species name in citation

[edit]

Pytchon penna is implausible. I could not find it in Tropicos or Plants of the World Online, not in Index of Organism Names. Nor could I find the more plausible spelling Ptychon penna. DCDuring (talk) 18:09, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ptychosperma is a genus in Arecaceae (palms).
One of the synonyms of the current taxonomic name of the Illawarra palm is Ptychosperma cunninghamianum, which gives a better connection to the citation connection with the species' current taxonomic name. DCDuring (talk) 18:37, 28 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
