Just before the text "a set of rules" are a full stop followed by a colon. The full stop is spurious. Looking at the code, I see:

"# (aviation, pilot training) Initialism of Instrument Flight Rules.: a set of rules for a pilot flying on instruments in contrast to Visual Flight Rules (VFR), primarily as a means of navigating through inclement weather."

(Unfortunately the code characters are not shown, they are interpreted, so what you read is the text as in the article, including the spurious first full stop. How can I switch off the interpretation and have the code characters shown directly/literally?)

There is no explicit indication of a full stop at the position I indicated. How can the full stop be removed?Redav (talk) 19:48, 18 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
