Is "Translingual" appropriate?

[edit]

I appreciate that Latin biological names are supposedly translingual, but it has come to my attention that Homo habilis is not necessarily rendered as a Latin name in some locations/cultures.

For instance, on Wikipedia, the Chinese article on Homo habilis is at 能人 (meaning 'capable person/human being'). I have also seen Homo habilis rendered at a museum in Mongolia as чадварлаг хүн (similar meaning). As a result of classing Homo habilis as "translingual" (thus precluding any possibility of listing "translations"), these two non-Latin names are excluded from Wiktionary. Is this appropriate?
