@Ultimateria In this particular case, the province of Florence no longer exists (see Province of Florence) so I felt justified in removing it; if you want it present, it should read "former province" so that it gets categorized under CAT:ca:Historical polities. @Ultimateria OK, it looks like the Italian government redefined provinces containing major cities as "metropolitan cities", which IMO is a very strange usage of this term, but so be it. I've added 'metropolitan city' to Module:place/data in such a way that it's special-cased for Italy (and places the term in e.g. CAT:en:Metropolitan cities of Italy) but otherwise acts like "city". @Benwing2: I wasn't aware of that classification; my objection was just to the removal of that sense. I assumed it was an unintentional change because I failed to read "manually assisted" in the edit summary. Ultimateria (talk) 05:14, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
