• Although this is an adjective, it is used in ecclesiastical circles as a noun (proper noun?) to refer to the bishop of Durham. There are similar words for the archbishops of York and Canterbury and possibly other bishops. SemperBlotto 23:00, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

The erstwhile sundred spelling "Dunhelmensis" should also be listed alongside. Heedst that it also fits in with the erstwhile "Dunholm" spelling of Durham.
