- If you did some research you'd find darvon is the brand name for an opiate known as propoxyphene, and a darvon cocktail is a method of committing suicide. You mix an antiemetic like metaclopromide (to keep you from vomitting) along with propoxyphene, and a barituate (to knock you out and increase the respiratory depression) and apparently causes a nice painless death. — This comment was unsigned.
