"Used as part of the name of a public house or hotel". This just seems like (deprecated template usage) arm capitalized when part of a proper noun, which you can do to any word (not just nouns). I believe it's (heraldic) arms (etym. 2, n., 2), “coat of arms”. I guess that the hotel's name describes the sign hung in front. Delete. —Michael Z. 2010-03-29 04:43 z
