In Bosnian language, to write the word "Allah" with one l is incorrect. Since the language recognizes the word as a foreign one, it should always be written in its original form - "Allah". Therefore, "Alah" is not an alternate spelling of "Allah". It is simply incorrect spelling.

On the other side, when writing in cyrillic, in this case it is mandatory to put only one l (Aлах), or to write it in roman script. "Аллах" is not acceptable. —This unsigned comment was added by 195.222.52.142 (talkcontribs) 2006-08-10 12:25.

Not true. Look at various literary sources, as well as Škaljić's dictionary of Turkisms. He clearly states the word is "Alah". However he does note that "Allah" is more correct, but is not necessarily in general use. So, either way, both terms are correct. I will note that in recent times, in order to be more "Arabicized", more people are using double "l" version. --Dijan 04:09, 14 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
