Backronym?

I was surprised not to find Backronym here. There is an entire article about it on Wikipedia, and the word does seem to have entered common usage. I'm not enough of a linguistic wordy to know if it would be okay to add the word to Wiktionary. Cheers. N2e 22:06, 2 December 2010 (UTC)

Whoops. Should have checked. Even though the word is not in this list, it does have an entry in Wiktionary: backronym. Perhaps I should just have added it to the list.

Aha, good catch — I've added it to the list. (It could be argued that it derives from acronym rather than (o)nym, but I think it's alright to list it here.) — Beobach 22:18, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
