A point conceivably worth noting is that Russians (and possibly other Slavs) tend to write an eyeless ) for a smiley emoticon, whereas in other regions it would look incomplete without the eyes (colon, semicolon, etc.). Equinox ◑ 06:08, 25 December 2018 (UTC)

Currently there is an entry for ) as well as for ))), in the Russian/Ukrainian sense. However, if the user searches for )), it just redirects to ⸨ ⸩ and doesn't indicate that it can also be a duplication of ). Tajoshu (talk) 15:56, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
