Error meaning in computing

Some old computer systems (I think early Ataris and Apple Macs) used a bomb symbol to indicate major errors. It wasn't, of course, the Unicode emoji (which came decades later), but we seem to be starting to overlap with these "signs and portents". Equinox ◑ 04:23, 20 April 2024 (UTC)

Thanks, I will look into this! And yes, pictograms (like the bomb icon) have many meanings not strictly attached to their status as an emoji. Think of it has sort of like a font; there are many letters that may look different but we generally treat them all the same when adding attests to articles.
