This (the 2nd etymology) actually came up in a literary translation workshop I attended in Seoul a few months back. It was the general opinion of those present that 버버리 in Korean has a significantly broader meaning than Burberry in English, and could refer to any of a variety of non-Burberry-branded coats. -- Visviva 13:34, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
