@Wyang I'm skeptical about "memedā". Is it audiologically possible? Two continuous toneless syllables in a beginning of word? Dokurrat (talk) 06:06, 26 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I may have exaggerated by using "audiologically possible", but... Dokurrat (talk) 06:10, 26 June 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Dokurrat It's phonetically possible - just pronounce toneless 麼 on its own, repeat this pronunciation, then pronounce da1. However, the IPA on the entry is wrong. Toneless me on its own is most likely /mə˧/, and memedā should correspond to /mə˧.mə˧.ta˥/. Of course there are many pronunciations of this term... ranging from /mə˧.mə˧.ta˧/ to /mə˥.mə˥.ta˥/, and to /mɔ˥.mɔ˥.ta˥/, but I feel /mə˧.mə˧.ta˥/ or /mə˧.mə˧.ta˧/ is the most common way to pronounce it.
