Yes, that etyl is incorrect -- this term is a compound of 魔道 + 師, i.e. someone who practices magic. 師 is a common suffix in Japanese. 魔, meanwhile, is not a common prefix. Moreover, no Japanese source that I'm aware of parses 魔道師 as 魔 + 道師. Even beyond that, 道師 in Japanese does not mean a Buddhist (deprecated template usage) monk or (deprecated template usage) priest -- that word is 導師. 道師 is an aristocratic title and rank in ancient Japan, I think predating even when Buddhism came to Japan.

The IP user who has tried to add this bogus etyl a few times (Special:Contributions/90.215.199.167) is known for their lack of Japanese skills. They have occasionally added a term (usually as a compound or see-also item on another entry) that includes bogus kana and bogus romaji, or occasionally even good kana but bogus romaji, strongly indicating that they are functionally illiterate in Japanese at even the basic kana level. I make it a point to at least try to go over their additions and clear out the quite substantial cruft that accumulates. I've tried communicating with them on their Talk page, but to no avail, so I've lately started blocking them for short periods when they revert my fixes and start flooding WT with crap entries (like 森の精, 水の精, and several other ...の精 entries that are all SOP and sometimes have bogus defs), partly in the hope that it might prompt them to look at their Talk page.
