Passage from Book of Han needed

in the etymology section of kampaku for japanese, it states, "Passage from Book of Han needed". after using ctext project to do a quick scan of the book of han, I got this passage, which is the only time the two characters are found together, "上謙讓不受，諸事皆先關白光，然後奏御天子。" kotobank states, "中国前漢の博陸侯霍光(はくろくこうかくこう)が幼帝を補佐した故事により、博陸ともいう。" judging from the book of han passage, I presume the etymology goes like this: the passage states that all matters are first "關白光"'d, then are presented to the emperor. then, semantic extension is applied(with 光 removed) and boom, advisor to the emperor. the kotobank etymology however, gives the explanation that its derived from the legend of huoguang, which coincidentally is the chapter name of the 關白 passage[霍光金日磾傳], assisting the han emperor at a young age. it then states, "百官の上奏に関(あずか)り、意見を白(もう)すという意味で..." I have no idea whether that explanation and "上謙讓不受，諸事皆先關白光，然後奏御天子。" are related, and still no idea what "Passage from Book of Han needed" even means. so what is the etymology of kampaku, and what is "Passage from Book of Han needed" requesting? 三河孝達(雝之) (talk) 03:59, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
