It says this character is 12 strokes. But I only count 10. Is there something I'm missing when you count strokes?

Also the static diagram looks like it has 11 strokes. In my limited experience, you draw the far right stroke as one stroke like in the animation, and not as two in the diagram. You can see that clearly on yellowbridge. It also looks like this in the eStroke app and in the LearnChinese app for the iPhone. Staffanlincoln 20:26, 18 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

The number 12 comes from 9+3=12. But the left half uses only 8 strokes, so it should be 8+3=11. I cannot count well enough to decide whether it should be 8+2=10, but also in other characters the radical counts as 3 strokes. -- 183.180.189.16 14:58, 21 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
