Etymology

[edit]

In response to [1]: in the "most excellent form" of Wiktionary, I imagine that an approximate date of origination would be included for every artificially generated term, as 西藏自治區 is. For instance, on this page, readers would find out when (what year or approximate year) the CCP government proposed the term '西藏自治區', similar to the way I have added approximate dates of origination for 雄安 and Xiong'an. There is one side of etymology where you try to explain why there's a quirk in the word or which foreign language a certain word is dependent on; there's another side where you ask: who were the first dudes using this term? See also Bigfoot. If Wiktionary is going to treat 西藏自治區 as a word, then it should also say who came up with this term and/or when they did it. --Geographyinitiative (talk) 13:03, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
