臺 vs. 台 in "台語"

Using "臺" instead of "台" for 台語 is rare. Note the phrasing of the Ministry of Education's Dictionary of Frequently-Used Taiwanese Taigi: 教育部臺灣台語常用詞辭典. While official usage calls for "臺" to be used with the name of the country, i.e. 臺灣, this does not extend to other words (e.g. 台語). AjaxSmack (talk) 14:09, 8 January 2025 (UTC)
