Why was the sense split?

@Dokurrat I'm not sure if the sense should be split, since no dictionary does that, and a stray horse is just a horse that has parted anyway. Hanyu Da Zidian puts the quotes 邢伯告中行伯曰：「有班馬之聲，齊師其遁。」 and 揮手自茲去，蕭蕭班馬鳴 under the same sense of 班, so I don't think 班馬 should be split based on the gloss in Hanyu Da Zidian. In 送光祿劉主簿之洛, 背櫪嘶班馬，分洲叫斷鴻 probably means stray horse as 斷鴻 means stray goose. RcAlex36 (talk) 04:38, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
