I do not believe these two words could be descendants of the Chinese character name 楊樹浦. More like 揚子浦, right? --Geographyinitiative (talk) 10:05, 4 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Wrong. It's obviously highly garbled, but it's what they were trying to romanize. Presumably the Shanghainese dialect got involved if it wasn't a typo, but I wouldn't add that without better sourcing. You can just leave it as "irregular". — LlywelynII 18:19, 23 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
