@Tooironic Kinda curious about this usage of {{gl}}. 尋訪寻访 (xúnfǎng) refers to an action, so it cannot be glossed as "somebody whose whereabouts is unknown". --Dine2016 (talk) 03:38, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

It's more like a qualifier I guess. ---> Tooironic (talk) 14:14, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Tooironic: It's not {{q}} either. The documentation of {{q}} states that it is used before or after a list item. --Dine2016 (talk) 03:24, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
And yet "somebody whose whereabouts is unknown" is not an intrinsic part of the definition, so it must be separated somehow. ---> Tooironic (talk) 03:37, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes. What about plain parentheses? Parenthesized parts are not copied to the {{ja-see}} of the simplified form or the {{zh-forms}} of longer compounds. --Dine2016 (talk) 07:08, 18 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
