Pronunciation

@RcAlex36: For the Mandarin pronunciation of this term, would it be better to make a separate entry at 多膥魚 with cūn? I ask because the linked Wikipedia page seems to say 多春魚 is a variant of 多膥魚, but I'm not sure if that's accurate. ChromeGames (talk) 16:15, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

@ChromeGames: I don't think the word is read duōcūnyú by speakers that distinguish between ch- and c-. Also, there are no hits for 多膥魚 on Google Books. RcAlex36 (talk) 16:24, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

@RcAlex36: I see, I suppose that makes sense since 膥seems to be a newly-created or newly-used character. And nobody who speaks standard Mandarin would probably ever think to read 多春魚 with cūn. I wonder why Wikipedia gives 多膥魚 glossed cūn as the main term, but that's a separate project from here. ChromeGames (talk) 16:33, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
