The 之=(Zhī) character has many attestations like

  辶= (Chuò)  讠=(Yán)

But they all real mean the same thing (TO WALK) (GO)

Glyph Origin

@Jimw338 I think the glyph origin is legit, but I can not visualize which part of 之 is 止 and which part is 一. "甲骨文從「止」從「一」，「止」象向外的人足，「一」象地，指腳向前走，" [1] --Geographyinitiative (talk) 22:38, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
