Talk:㕌
Relation between 㕌 and 㝵
[edit]Jiaoyubu Yitizi Zidian lists 㕌 as a variant of 㝵, and gives a pronunciation ㄉㄜˊ. This website lists Zhengzitong as the reference. And it also gives a picture copy of the reference, which says:
㕌,㝵字之譌。梵書礙作㝵。舊註「音礙,張幕,又石名」竝非。
(㕌 is an error of 㝵. In Buddism books, 礙 is [written] as 㝵. The old annotations “pronounced 礙, to set up the curtain, also a name of [a kind of] stone” are all wrong.)
I think it's okay to claim 㕌 as a variant of 㝵, but furtherly claiming 㕌 as a variant of 得 (or pronounced ㄉㄜˊ) seems unnecessary unless any other material is found, as not only 㝵 itself has two different meanings (variant of 得 and variant of 礙), but also the original text specifically contains a reference to 礙.
