@Metaknowledge: Crum defines it as simply ‘one that knows’. It’s not found in Westendorf, Černý, or Vycichl. All in all, it seems to be a pretty rare word, and I don’t think three separate senses can be justified. ‘Scientist’ seems like a modern overinterpretation. — Vorziblix (talk · contribs) 06:17, 5 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
