Problem with Template:LSJ
[edit]Currently the code * {{R:LSJ|a(/ls1|w=ἅλς (A)}}\n* {{R:LSJ|a(/ls2|w=ἅλς (B)}}
is generating this –
- (A) ἅλς (A) in Liddell & Scott (1940) A Greek–English Lexicon, Oxford: Clarendon Press
- (B) ἅλς (B) in Liddell & Scott (1940) A Greek–English Lexicon, Oxford: Clarendon Press
– in which the link is formed using the Greek text rather than the Beta Code. Can you figure out what's going on here in Module:R:Perseus, @Isomorphyc? — Eru·tuon 16:47, 17 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Erutuon: Fixed-- I think. Apologies for the weird logic in the function. I will look in to cleaning it up eventually, and relatively soon if it becomes more of a problem. Isomorphyc (talk) 15:13, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
- @Isomorphyc: Thanks! I'll keep an eye out for any other irregularities — Eru·tuon 19:22, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
Etymology
[edit]The etymology of ό ἅλς is clear; but for ή ἅλς (poetic for 'sea') to be connected, the latter cannot be an older lexeme. Andrew H. Gray 18:03, 1 September 2018 (UTC)Andrew talk
