The main entry says that this word is a nominative/vocative plural form. however, I can't seem to find an independent source to verify this, and it's highly dubious given that the https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/-ai suffix in the vast majority of languages means first-person singular past historic, with the notable exception being Latin. Therefore this will be removed until it can be properly sourced. 98.178.191.34 06:11, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
- First-declension masculine nouns in Ancient Greek have plurals in -αι. See w:Ancient Greek nouns#Masculine a-stem. Considering this is a noun form entry, I don't even know what "first-person singular past historic" means. What is the past tense of the word "zebra", or "houseplant"?
- As for other languages (mainly Italian and French), those aren't Greek, are they? 70.172.194.25 06:34, 20 December 2021 (UTC)
