Tigrinya plural of እንጀራ
[edit]Is it እንጀሮት (ʾənǧärotə)? Or maybe እንጀራታት (ʾənǧäratatə)? Or something else? I'm so meta even this acronym (talk) 16:34, 6 May 2013 (UTC)
- Edit: Corrected gees with breves to gees with háčky. I'm so meta even this acronym (talk) 00:49, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- I've never heard it pluralised, but I don't currently have a Tigrinya informant, so I couldn't tell you if it is in fact a singulare tantum. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 02:16, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
- OK. Might it be worth leaving
{{rfinfl|ti}}
in the entry until it's known for certain one way or the other? I'm so meta even this acronym (talk) 15:04, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

- No.
{{attention}}
is enough. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 22:58, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- No.
- OK. Relatedly, should ጀ be transliterated ǧä or ğä? That is, should the gee have a háček or a breve? Wikipedia uses the former, እንጀራ (ʾənǧära) the latter. I'm so meta even this acronym (talk) 22:05, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- For consistency's sake, use whatever is documented at WT:ETHI (I think it's a háček, but I don't remember). I should write a module that does automatic transliteration. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 23:53, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
- Yes, it uses háčky throughout. I've corrected እንጀራ and the transcriptions in my first post. I'm so meta even this acronym (talk) 00:49, 18 May 2013 (UTC)
- I've asked some native speakers and they don't intuit there being a natural plural form. I think injera is usually used as a mass (uncountable) noun. I'm removing the attention needed tag from the article. Mo-Al (talk) 11:49, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
