Is the sound smooth and easy like the γ in Modern Greek άγαν (ɣ), or rough and gravelly like the R in German Rübe (ʁ)? I think in most cases in Georgian, it is pronounced like ɣ, as in ღარიბი (ɣɑribi). Maybe if it comes after certain other consonants it might sound like ʁ.
