Etymology

[edit]

I've restored the rfe tag. According to Karenni and Kayah: Burma's Ethnic Problem over Two Names, a Path to Resolution | Asia Peacebuilding Initiatives, 'Kayah' is derived from a first-person word in Kayah which means 'human.' Discussion is welcome below. -Hintha (talk) 04:49, 11 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

The pronunciation of Kayah has many different meanings, Kayah was first pronounced by the Mon people in AD 567, you can look at the Ananda Pagoda stone in Myanmar, thanks. 𝓓𝓻.𝓘𝓷𝓽𝓸𝓫𝓮𝓼𝓪|𝒯𝒶𝓁𝓀 08:24, 11 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
