@Octahedron80 Hi. Could you please check the phonemics? --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 03:45, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
@Atitarev Sorry for butting in. ลิก-ตะ-เหฺน็ด-ไต is wrong. The term is pronounced as (a) ลิก-เตน-สตาย. As heard from TV, it is sometimes pronounced as (b) ลิก-เต้น-สตาย. The last syllable may be separated as (c) ลิก-เตน-สะ-ตาย, (d) ลิก-เต้น-สะ-ตาย; though I'm not sure about the separation. Anyway, the module does not support (a) and (b). I then do nothing with the entry. --หมวดซาโต้ (talk) 04:39, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
- @หมวดซาโต้ Thank you, ขอบคุณครับ. The module doesn't currently support the initial cluster "st" and I think it should always be marked with "pinthu" - "ลิก-เต้น-สฺตาย". I can add a new test case for our expert on this things to look at. Which pronunciation would be standard? Sorry the online dictionaries don't show correct pronunciations and my small dictionaries doesn't have this word. @Iudexvivorum, Octahedron80, Wyang Do you agree that we need this new cluster? Also, please help sort out the respelling. Which ones of the above should be included (even if they are not working). --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 04:51, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
- For your consideration: Google Translate pronounces the term as (d). --หมวดซาโต้ (talk) 05:10, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
- @หมวดซาโต้ Thanks. I don't know if Google translate pronunciations can be trusted for Thai pronunciations. Can they? (d) or "ลิก-เต้น-สะ-ตาย" is supported by the module. I am going to add this one. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:36, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thais always pronounce the borrowing 'st-' by adding 'a' inbetween becoming 'สะ-ตx' because it is not native phoneme. (This does not apply to 's' that is the final consonant of previous syllable.) BTW, "ลิก-เต้น-สะ-ตาย" is the correct reading. --Octahedron80 (talk) 11:08, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
