[edit]@Kutchkutch, do you know of any sources on Sholaga? I cant find any books, wikipedia doesnt have much and these Sholaga terms arent mentioned in DEDR (aṉṟi, akka) either, these terms were added by an IP who is inactive for 4 years AleksiB 1945 (talk) 09:28, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
- @AleksiB 1945 This word is listed on page 419 column 1 in the article The Language of the Shōlegas by Kamil Zvelebil.
- anḏi n. pig. DEDR 4039 Ta. panri, Ka. pandi
- Perhaps the ḏ is an allophone for ṟ after n similar to Tamil /r/ → [d] / n_
- Although there also exists a ṛ in Sholaga, according to page 436, Sholaga ṛ (along with ḍ) is derived from Proto-Dravidian *ḍ rather than Proto-Dravidian *ṟ. For ಅಕ್ಕಁ, if representing the nasalisation as ಁ is accurate, then that could be added to MOD:sle-translit. Kutchkutch (talk) 01:25, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
