pūrṇamāḥ ~ pūrṇimā
[edit]@Kutchkutch Are the forms found with an -i- (e.g. पुनिव) from pūrṇimā? Anyway, pūrṇimā is also ultimately derived from this noun itself. -- 𝘗𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘺𝘪(𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬) 10:39, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Pulimaiyi: Yes, it would be better to move the forms with -i- to पूर्णिमा. However, the descendants section on that entry, which were mostly added by 108.31.52.77 (talk) in diff, may need to improved. Gujarati પૂનમ could be moved to पूर्णमास् similar to Hindi पूनम. Tamil பூரணமி (pūraṇami) has both -r- and word-final -i similar to Telugu పున్నమి (punnami) and Old Kannada ಪುಣ್ಣಿಮೆ (puṇṇime) making it look like a hypercorrected borrowing from Prakrit. It seems that MOD:hi-noun is not designed to show the declension for पूनौं since the plural forms are shown as nominative पूनौंें (pūna͠uẽ), oblique पूनौंों (pūna͠uõ) and vocative पूनौंो (pūna͠uo). - @Kutchkutch: Thanks for pointing out the error. I did not notice it (I did notice it at पूनो (pūno) as there was a module error. I will remove it now. I agree that descendants at पूर्णिमा need go be cleaned up. I'll do it. -- 𝘗𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘺𝘪(𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬) 01:17, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
