@AryamanA: Any idea what is the further etymology of this/how should this be analyzed? The first element is likely ख़ान (xān) (in the sense of a leader, ruler etc.), the second element seems to be "holder, container" from دان (“dân”) (would like to note that derived suffix -दान (-dān) does not have receptacle as a meaning, please see if you can add that [not familiar with suffix entries]).
