@Atitarev, Wikipedia gives different vowels than you did. Is there a good online resource to check the vowels for this sort of thing? —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 23:49, 14 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Metaknowledge I couldn't find it in Hans Wehr dictionary. If it has proper nouns, it uses romanisations, no Arabic vocalisations. Changed it to نُوَاكْشُوط (nuwākšūṭ), which is more commonly used. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 01:55, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
Where'd you find that, though? I just don't know Arabic resources particularly well. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 01:58, 15 April 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Metaknowledge There's not much for proper nouns, really, if a term is not in Hans Wehr. I seldom use any other dictionaries. I Googled for the vocalised variants in quotes. Almaany shows "نَواكْشُوط", which was my original source, so this could still be used as a variant, which also matches the Berber pronunciation. For most other parts of speech, Hans Wehr is a definite guide for lemmas, and vocalisations are constructed from the readings. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад)
